Vehicle Health Check: an overview
A health check tells you where your vehicle stands before small issues become expensive ones. It is useful before a long trip, when a service is some way off, or simply when something does not feel quite right.
You receive a clear report that rates each area as Good, Needs attention or Critical, with our notes and photos.
Problems we can help with
- Planning a long trip
- Vehicle feels different but you are not sure why
- Service history unknown
- Warning light came on and went off
- You want to plan and budget for upcoming maintenance
What we do
We inspect the engine bay and fluids, brakes, suspension and steering, tyres, battery and charging, lights and electrics, air conditioning, and the body. We read the stored fault codes where the vehicle supports it.
Each area is marked Good, Needs attention or Critical on your inspection report, with notes and photos where helpful. Nothing is repaired during a health check — if we recommend work, you receive an itemised estimate and decide what to go ahead with.

Vehicle Health Check: frequently asked questions
How is this different from a pre-purchase inspection?
A pre-purchase inspection helps you decide whether to buy a vehicle. A health check is for a vehicle you already own, to plan maintenance and catch problems early.
Will you repair things during the check?
No. The health check is an inspection. You receive the report and an estimate for anything recommended, and nothing is done without your approval.
Do I get the report?
Yes. The inspection report is shared with you through your private vehicle page, so you can refer back to it.
